We do 1-2 house shows a month:

August 28th - Anchor Down, The Anchor (TX), Bitchin' Summer, Danger Death Ray

September 6th (acoustic show) - imadethismistake (ri), neil sutherland (uk), lee corey oswold, honeyflow zine distro

Spiel:

ZOMBIE HOUSE is an all ages music venue in SE Portland, OR run by people who love music. We pride ourselves in promoting a positive environment free of violence, hate, and negativity where any one can come and have a good time hanging out with friends and listening to amazing music from around the country. To wit: "Respect our space or we'll respect your face." We kid, we kid.

We don't charge a cover, but please plan on donating money for the touring bands if you come to one of our shows. No one is turned away for lack of funds, but if you show up with a six pack of beer and complain about donations for the band we'll kick your ass to the curb (in a non-violent way, of course). To wit: "Respect our space or we'll respect your face." We kid, we kid.

If you absolutely cannot to bring $ for the touring bands, consider contributing something that would be helpful to a touring band, i.e. a roll of toilet paper, some vegetables from your garden (not ours please!), a bottle of juice, etc.

Do you do hardcore shows? I'm looking for a place to have my band REQUIN and Transient (from PDX) play sometime maybe in September.

Absolutely!!! I hate it when people complain about donating and then pull a 40 out of their bag or something!

We'd definitely do hardcore shows, unfortunately we've got our September show scheduled already and then go on tour for a month last week of Sept. and get back the last week of Oct.

Maybe November though...let me know. I could ask Boot City Blood Sox, who are a local hardcore band.

Cool, thanks for the info. We're still not sure when we'll be down there, it's just a tentative plan.

Nope! I will be in Seattle taking three math finals! Have fun though. I've never heard of the swamp tavern. Then again I'm only 20 years old anyway.

ALL SHOWS EXCEPT ACOUSTIC SHOWS ARE CANCELED UNTIL THIS SUMMER.

SORRY, BUT WE HAD SOME STUFF GO DOWN WITH THE NEIGHBORS AND WE NEED TO KEEP THE PEACE TO KEEP BEING ABLE TO DO SHOWS.

WE HOPE THAT IF WE LAY LOW FOR A FEW MONTHS THAT WE'LL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE DOING SHOWS, BECAUSE WE LOVE DOING IT.

THANKS FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS COME OUT TO SHOWS AND HAD FUN AND BEEN RESPECTFUL TO THE HOUSE AND THE NEIGHBORS.

Hey y'all.

Some sad news. I've moved out of the Zombie House and it looks like the rest of the fellas will be moving out by the end of the summer. We've got 3 shows left, 1 in May, 2 in June. Though, there is trouble with the landlord, so we're collectively walking on eggshells.

This is very sad news...I loved the Zombie house!!! I was fortunate to have played there twice before it's soon to be untimely end and both of the shows were super fun and I can honestly say it ruled!! Sad!

So, it turns out Davey wants to keep doing shows at the ZH. I think they'll be by invite only, but feel free to ask me and I can ask him...it'll probably be once a month or every other month as folks have other things going on and some people are not really into having shows that live at the house.

It won't hurt to ask me, but I'm kind of out of the loop, so I can't promise other than to ask.

I'm pretty stoked, having booked every show so far but one, that it's going to keep going. Plus, it's my PA. Ha!
