Hey. We're from Portland. We've got two 7-inches and a CD out (we're also on the Funhouse Comp Thing II). Ex-members of Axes Of Evil, The Wristrockets, and Monkee Torture. I've been told we kind of sound like early 80's beach punk mixed with the Damned and some Rip Off Records style.

They're very good.  I like them.  As people and as a band.

It was alright.  It was a wednesday night.  There were lots of weirdos there, a couple fights, the bands were good, the crowd was less than awesome.  Good overall.  I tackled someone.  that was cool.  Mike Welch stood by and laughed while our roadie was yelling at me to chill out because we were on tour and I can't be hurt while on tour.  Awesome!

Nice to see you here Tim. I was actually going to send you a message about this place but then I saw that you were already here in the "Introductions" thread.

Matt wrote "Friday Night" on the 7-inch (which still has yet to actually be released, unfortunately), it was the first song he wrote for us, and the first one that I didn't sing. Since then, he's written a few more and I really like his newest stuff a lot. The closer off the album we plan on recording this year is one of his called "Ghost Notes" and I end up with it stuck in my head all the damn time. He brings more of the "rock'n'roll" vibe to counter-balance my "old-school" tendencies.

I saw The Wristrockets play in Bremerton in like 1997 (give or take a year). It was one of the first shows I ever volunteered at, and I had a great time. I had the sticker on the front of my very first electric guitar.

Whoa. I think I remember that show, it was with a rockabilly band (the Whitewalls maybe?) in some kind of school gym-type building right?

Wow, haha. That's pretty impressive. Even I can barely remember The Whitewalls.

That crappy gym was about the only venue Bremerton had in those days (I'm glad to say things have improved dramatically).

Anyway, thanks for remembering. You guys were awesome. I've caught The Anxieties a few times (once memorably with Dateless and The Unlovables) and I love your full-length. Hope to see you next time you come through Seattle.

Working on two full-length records right now. Under Surveillance is the newest stuff we've written, and Return To The Nowhere Zone is revisiting songs from our Eugene days that either never got released or are out of print.

We're on facebook and bandcamp now. You can get "Gotta Get Away" as a free download from the bandcamp page and we've dropped the price for download of "The Next Mutation" album to $6.

I believe I saw the Wristrockets play once in Roseburg, maybe in 1999, or somewhere around then at a Karate Studio...

Then from 2002-to around 2004 I booked a few shows for Monkee Torture! You guys were always fun!

We should play a show sometime! My band is Destroy Nate Allen. www.myspace.com/destroynateallen

I bought a Wristrockets CD from Mutant pop in like 98-99, it fell out of my truck before I got to listen to it.

That's probably for the best. It's also probably for the best that I didn't see this post before the show, or else I might have brought you one, and then you'd be back at square one...
