Sea: Rain City Mix Tape Club
« on: October 26, 2009, 01:37:59 AM »

rain city mix tape club is on the last sunday of the month. we pick a theme, you make a mix, you come to havana and we trade. this months theme is "ultimate fall jams" (think rainy grey rainy days).

so whats your favorite fall song? all i can think of is built to spill - the plan.

I've always wanted to come to this, but I'm usually busy on Sunday nights.

(My favourite Fall song is "Black No. 1" by Type O Negative.)

Peter Steele is a racist.

"Don't call me your brother. We fell from two different cunts and your skin's an ugly color"

From "Race War" by Carnivore.

Carnivore was an early crossover thrash band that Peter Steele did vocals and played bass for.

Now as for my favorite fall song? I'd have to go with Deja Entendu by Brand New or "Raintracks" by Rapture. For some reason, listening to Rapture reminds me of something about winter.

I believe Peter Steele might have made racist comments in the past. I also believe a lot of people say a lot of shit they regret when they are young, and they change (Black Judd from Nachtmystium comes to mind).

Then again, I also love Burzum.

it can be! people make both (though more cds than tapes). also for the "nerdy songs" theme, a couple people submitted them on flash drives. whatever format pleases you.

Don't know what his old band from many moons ago has to do with fall, except for the fact that racism always reminds me of beautiful, blustery October nights.

its just words, i'm sure you can take any bands lyrics and make some sort of debacle about em.  Some are just more blatent than others.     Look at Skrewdrivers first album then the third...
