alright so this is just an idea right now, and I'm hoping y'all can help me out with it and we can use it as some promotion for nwpb as well.

basically, I would like to make thursday nights at the sweet spot "PUNK ROCK THURSDAYS" and I will need all of your help to make it awesome.

my proposal:
*we will have a cheap beer special (probably like $1.50 pabst or something similar)
*I need someone(s) to come in and dj with their awesome punk rock vinyls (bobcat and carameleron and dan 10things I'm lookin' at you)
*we don't have dj equipment (yet) so hopefully whoever comes in will have their own turntables or can borrow some or whatever
*(if not there's always my ipod and I can make awesome playlists)
*if there's a band or two or three, we can make the cover charge cheap as well and the dj can spin before/between/after bands
*we will all have massive amounts of fun and dancing and lots of cheap beer will be had
*happy hour specials on food too!

any further suggestions on this are more than welcome.  so tell me what you think RIGHT NOW and let's make this happen!

I don't typically go out for "dj nights" anywhere.  I've just got too much going on and too little time to get it done.  I will always try to make it out for shows if I'm interested in the bands playing, regardless of the night of the week.

I'm the same way, especially since it's so far from where I live. I'll make the trek for bands, but if I'm just going to listen to records and drink beer, I can do that at home.
