A couple of young guys from Portland decided to start a killer punk band called Autistic Youth. Reagan Youth, the Adolescents, and the Wipers are cited as band influences with absolute accuracy- it's neat that a band today can capture some of the essence of a great period in punk and expand upon it so effortlessly.
They're not haphazard in their efforts, either, having already released three EPs, one full length and a split with The Estranged. Plus, they've been working on capturing the loyalty of our European counterparts by touring abroad this year. Check them out:
