Alright. I am going to start compiling all NWPUNKBOARD related shows into a paper handbill to put out at record stores, clubs and anywhere else we can think of. To start off with, we're going to start with one list compiling all shows that are listed in our calendar. After we get things rolling a bit more, we'll start splitting them up into individual scene flyers that people can print up (on their work printers, it's more free that way).
The Rules:
#1) All shows must be properly posted in THE CALENDAR (see How to Post an Event pt.1)
#2) All shows must be submitted for the next month to THE CALENDAR by the 15th of the previous month (for instance, I will be working on May's calendar after the 15th of April. So make sure you have all your MAY shows submitted by the 15th of April)
#3) Only NWPUNKBOARD.COM affiliated shows will be listed. This means, the person that posted it must be in one of the bands, or be the promoter of the band.
-This is to benefit us all. There will be a reminder at the top and the bottom of these handbills that will say, see NWPUNKBOARD.COM for more info or to get your shows listed. This way, if say NOFX is coming to town, the only way to get their show listed is by either having one of our bands on board, or to join the board and become involved themselves.
I'm doing this to do two things. #1) get peoples bands who get up and get active more exposure by doing group handbills and #2) get more people in the community involved on this board and with putting on shows and doing what they can to get us all more exposure.
Feel free to add any advice/criticism/assholieness that you'd like. This is all new, so it will take a while to get perfect. We can all help it happen faster though.
