Red Scare webstore!
« on: March 15, 2010, 05:55:16 PM »

We're launching a new website and have a new webstore to boot.

GO HERE: http://redscare.storenvy.com/

CDs are a paltry 8 bucks (for now!) and I am gonna have to shut the store down while I am on tour, so if you're interested, place your orders this week, everything usually ships out day of.

Fun!

I really like when you click on the covers and the art gets really big! I'll be ordering some stuff once I'm not so poor... which will probably be longer than I want it to be.

Toby. How come you haven't/don't put out records by NW bands?

That's a really fair question.  Two answers:

I think the label's roster reflect places where I am geographically near to.  I lived in California for 10 years, so it makes sense for me to have spotted bands from there.  Same with Chicago.

Second, I just plain haven't found any bands from the NW that I feel strongly about.  That's probably due in part to the fact that I am never home anymore.  I think at some point somebody sent me Broadway Calls first record and I definitely wish I had paid more attention to that record, because it's awesome.  That's not to say they woulda been on Red Scare anyhow...

Hopefully when I move back to Washington I can start helping/working with some good bands out there.  And hey, if there's anyone out there worth a shit, let me know!  That doesn't apply to Crusher of course, he has no idea what the fuck he's talking about.

Makes sense...I was just wondering considering you were from WA. why you hadn't. When you gonna be living back in WA? There's some really cool shit going on/coming out in Seattle (and beyond) these days that could really use some of that national exposure as well as some really great things bubbling beneath the surface (DIY venues, NW Distros, Radio Shows, communities) but not enough labels.
