What are you talking about, Wolfgang? Brandon loves lots of things...like going to sleep early, making sure other people can't stay out late and have fun because they should be in bed, and Off With Their Heads. Boy does he love Ryan!

I bought the first graphic novel tonight. I hope I like it as much as you guys do.
The first one is basically the trailer for the movie. I'm trying to track down the second book.

Me and Ryan squashed our beef last summer when we hung out in Missoula.  Just because I don't like somebody's newest record does not mean that I'm not getting along with somebody.  I probably didn't like (INSERT YOUR BAND'S NAME HERE)'s last record but it doesn't mean I have a problem with anybody on this board.

I don't doubt that the comic book is good, I just do not relate to "the loser trying to get the girl of his dreams."

I don't relate to all things and that is fine. I really do think that although the comic is good, for what it is, that it will be a dissappointing movie.  The simple fact is that having 7 things to overcome in 90 mins seems like it will take too much from the rest of the storyline and make for a bad movie.

I don't see the character as being a loser at all, just a normal dude.  A lot like you Brandon to be honest.  25 years old, living for cheap, playing in a band, dating a high school girl, and just finds a girl who he likes and likes him, and there are 7 evil exes that pop up that he has to fight because they won't go away.  You should really get some kind of reference behind your argument besides just seeing a movie trailer.  This is going to be a really fun movie.

Am I the only person who this movie looks horrible?

First, of all for somebody to defeat 7 people in a movie is going to either require a crappy montage or a very rushed storyline.

Second, fighting seven exes?  Sounds like major baggage to me.

Third, the idea of a one true love that you have to fight for is stupid.  And they lived happily ever after...  BULLSHIT!

Fourth, this movie looks like it caters to 2 groups of people
a) alternateenage girls

and

b) nerds who never get laid but dream about fighting the cool kid for HER, you know, that girl you have been stalking for years and pretending to be friends with when really all you do is jerk it every night to the thought of that one time at a show when her boobs touched your back.

YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK

This is either -

A)Totally hilarious if your not being serious or -
B)Proof that your the biggest wet blanket draped over a stick in the mud ever to exist if you are being serious.

I'm pretty sure you can get it at The Dreaming in the University District (basically a block south of Galway, on the opposite side of the street).

If it's selling out all over because of the movie or something, I can probably lend you my copy at some point.

It's all good, I'm pretty much trying to buy all of them at Borders because I have 50% off coupons.  Both of them I went into the other day were re-organizing their graphic novels, so they had no idea where they were..

A little from column A, a little from column B.

I was checking out local comic book stores, and they weren't sure when their order would come in - 1 week? 2 weeks? Maybe Amazon secretly replaced their orders with Folger's Crystals.

Michael Cera was the only one in 'Sex Bob Omb' that actually knew how to play their instrument too. He went up big time in my book!

Does anyone else think the opening song sounds like White Minority?  Because I don't.  At all.  But at least two other people I know swear it's a direct rip off.

I agree, however, that Garbage Truck is an homage to The Passenger by Iggy Pop.
