i don't know who i'm more disappointed in. This group for not considering us worthy of having our own thread or Bremerton/Kitsap punks for not saying saying "Fuck You! We got shit going on! Recognize us!"
For the last 25 years we've watched our most talented musicians start bands and overcome the "two year struggle" fine tuning them into quality producing groups. But no one noticed. No media attention, no invites from promoters to come open for a major draw touring band on a wknd, no nationally recognized Seattle band saying "hey, come support us on this mini tour down the coast."
Time after time we watched these bands make their way to Seattle on a Tues night, get bumped into the last slot, and end up missing the ferry so they can play to 18 people. And eventually they'd implode.
The individual musicians stuck with it though and it looks like some recognition is coming their way. It seems like self-promotion has always been a weak point with Bremerton/Kitsap bands and i've always claimed that given the chance i could do that. So, i'm going to prove i haven't just been talking shit all this time, and you are going to start listening to Bremerton bands and help them get their due.
