Yeah no shit, and it was just as awesome. And since when did fashion come into play? Dudes can't wear jerseys anymore? Crime?

More awesome... The reference to the Jersey was a reference to old style hardcore (mostly East Coast) and letting you know Wilhelm isn't breaking any new ground stylistically or musically and are rather playing a less interesting version of their influences that is why I do not care to see em. So old shmold!! However... I like Death By Stereo (ish), Heiress and Crutches are both fun to watch!

Hello 99% of the entire Seattle punk scene. Only switch out thrash with Jawbreaker and the Larry arms.

Nope...it was more of a pondering thought and confusion. I am still wondering outside of KYS, who clearly has those influences (as well as many other influences) who else in Seattle you would even relate to sounding like Jawbreaker or Larry Arms and more so how you would come even close to the conclusion that 99% of the entire Seattle punk scene has obvious influence from those two bands unless of course you were not familiar with either's work or sound. Please enlighten me?

I think you took my two examples with too much emphasis on them when i was loosely trying to represent the scene as a whole and I did not have time to list the 5 million bands that influence this one type of sound.

Including KYS(which i wasn't singling out by the way) everybody plays that slowish mid tempo pop punk typically classified in a modern sense as "orgcore" or "beard punk". A lot gruffer than the bubble gum punk but still has it's pop sensibilities. Other bands I could have mentioned since I've got the time now:

Hot Water Music
Samiam
The Copyrights
OWTH
Dillinger Four
ETC...

Now, we can argue semantics about this shit all we want with all the classifications and sub genres punk has but I really don't want to get into that. I hope I've made my point a little bit clearer.

Funny, none of my band have ever or will ever fit the discription you just gave.

And are we realy gonna re-hash the whole AWS thing?

You guys love them, and we don't. What's left to discuss.

Yes... let's agree to disagree on AWS... after it's only opinion/preference anyway.  :D

I'm not sure who said this. I played AWS for this friend of mine and that's what he said about them. Rodney (rockabilly) said this Duncan.
